Jacob Kazakevich

President and Co-Founder

In his role as OS33 President, Mr. Kazakevich has responsibility for business operations, product development, and strategic alliances.

Jacob has a rich background in IT and hosting solutions. He spent seven years as co-founder and CTO of External IT, a leader in the SMB Hosted IT marketplace. During his tenure with External IT, Jacob managed all technical operations, including service delivery for hundreds of clients and thousands of end users. Additionally, he increased the company’s footprint and IT hosting capabilities by establishing data centers across the United States, and managing the acquisition of three smaller hosting providers.

Prior to co-founding External IT, he was CTO of Offyx Corporation, a New York City-based startup in the application service provider (ASP) market. While overseeing technology management duties, Jacob shared responsibility for raising $2 million in funding from IBM, Cisco and three venture funds. His work at Offyx provided the impetus for launching External IT in 2002.

Mr. Kazakevich is one of three original architects of OS33, which began as an External IT project in 2004. When OS33 was spun off from External IT in 2009, he was chosen to run the new company as President. Under his executive leadership, OS33 is well-positioned to enhance its market position in cloud-based IT hosting through a growing base of IT service provider partners.

Jacob has a bachelor’s degree from the Stern School of Business at New York University and resides in New York City with his wife and two daughters.
