Jacob Kazakevich
President and Co-FounderIn his role as OS33 President, Mr. Kazakevich has responsibility for business operations, product development, and strategic alliances.
Jacob has a rich background in IT and hosting solutions. He spent seven years as co-founder and CTO of External IT, a leader in the SMB Hosted IT marketplace. During his tenure with External IT, Jacob managed all technical operations, including service delivery for hundreds of clients and thousands of end users. Additionally, he increased the company's footprint and IT hosting capabilities by establishing data centers across the United States, and managing the acquisition of three smaller hosting providers.
Prior to co-founding External IT, he was CTO of Offyx Corporation, a New York City-based startup in the application service provider (ASP) market. While overseeing technology management duties, Jacob shared responsibility for raising $2 million in funding from IBM, Cisco and three venture funds. His work at Offyx provided the impetus for launching External IT in 2002.
Mr. Kazakevich is one of three original architects of OS33, which began as an External IT project in 2004. When OS33 was spun off from External IT in 2009, he was chosen to run the new company as President. Under his executive leadership, OS33 is well-positioned to enhance its market position in cloud-based IT hosting through a growing base of IT service provider partners.
Jacob has a bachelor's degree from the Stern School of Business at New York University and resides in New York City with his wife and two daughters.

Alex Osipov
Chief Technology OfficerMr. Osipov is responsible for the implementation of OS33's Software Platform used by our MSP partners.
His experience in IT provisioning started in 1999 as a programmer automating UNIX-based web host provisioning and systems administration at High Speed Web, Inc. He then spent several years providing consulting services including software design, highly scalable web site development, IVR solutions and systems interoperability. Recipients of his work include the New York City Mayor's Office, Grand Central Partnership, Loyola Health System, Northrop Grumman and T-Mobile.
In 2005, Alex was recruited to join External IT (OS33's original creator), thereby returning to his roots in provisioning and IT services delivery. He has been the driving force in architecting and delivering the OS33 Software Platform, our class-leading solution for delivering hosted IT services and infrastructure.
Alex holds a BS in Computer Science from Stony Brook University and is a member of several IT industry organizations, including the IEEE and the ACM.

Jim Avazpour
President of Infrastructure DivisionMr. Avazpour is responsible for all aspects of deploying and managing OS33’s Infrastructure as a Service platform used by our MSP partners.
Prior to joining OS33, Jim was the founder and President of Avazpour Networking Services, whose doors opened in 1997. He is responsible for the strategic development and continued expansion of the firm’s IT Cloud/Outsourcing Service solutions.
His entrepreneurial concept behind this business was to provide an affordable Fortune 500 IT solution to small and medium size businesses (SMB) through the use of multi-tenancy, virtualization and economies-of-scale. With over 26 years of technology experience, Mr. Avazpour is regarded as a pioneer in the IT outsourcing industry for the SMB market. His diverse background in software development, mainframe, and server engineering has enabled him to author and publish numerous business and technology related articles for various professional journals, magazines and periodicals.
In preparation for the Avazpour Networking Services launch, Jim spent nine years learning the business as a mainframe developer, systems engineer and the Director of Network Services for a mainframe outsourcing firm.
Mr. Avazpour has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. He resides in Overland Park, KS with his wife and two children.

Aron Derstine
Director of SalesAron Derstine is responsible for managing both direct and indirect sales channels nationwide.
Prior to his move into Sales, Aron spent over 10 years as Director of Information Technology at Hilb Rogal & Hobbs, the 8th largest insurance broker in the world. Working in strategic technology implementation and development, Aron negotiated complex integrations through numerous acquisitions seeing HRH hit revenue in excess of $648M and grow to over 4000 employees.
Aron became an independent consultant in 2008, focusing on developing opportunities within the hosted marketplace. A year later he secured a long term arrangement as Sales Manager of a privately held SaaS provider in Westerville, Ohio. There, he was instrumental in helping to launch project plans that laid the foundation for rapid growth and enter the International market space. Through this experience Aron gained useful insights on marketing and in depth exposure to nearly all facets of MSP business operations.
Aron holds a Bachelor's degree in Global Business with a concentration in Management at the University of Phoenix. He has 6 children and lives with his wife in Delaware, Ohio.

Paul Angelides
Director of MarketingPaul Angelides is responsible for all aspects of company marketing including new customer recruitment, communications and sales support.
Mr. Angelides brings ten years of experience in technology, marketing and business strategy focused around demand generation, customer development, and new product strategy with companies ranging from Fortune 1000 to aggressive startups. No stranger to fast-growth environments, Paul has served in leadership roles with emerging NYC-based technology companies over the last 5 years, tasked with building product, marketing and web activities, all from the ground floor.
Prior to that, Mr. Angelides served as a Digital Marketing Manager for Nestle Waters North America where he developed an expertise in digital and traditional marketing. At Nestle, Mr. Angelides directed the development of new customer acquisition thru the use of emerging digital technologies. Paul’s emphasis on digital technology provided the backbone for NWNA to repeatedly increase new customer acquisitions year over year, and at a fraction of the cost. Prior to Nestle, Mr. Angelides worked as a Marketing Analytics Associate and Web Producer at Martha Stewart Omnimedia.
Paul holds a BS in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech University, and is an active member of several marketing and new business associations including the New York Tech Meetup.

Ben Romas
Director, Provider SupportIn his role with OS33, Mr. Romas is responsible for providing our partners with the highest level of support.
Ben Romas began his career at Mindshift, an MSP in New York, specializing in colocation, webhosting, software development, and leased lines. He initially worked as a Level 1 technician, but was soon moved to Level 3 as he gained a reputation for taking care of business, and having a natural facility for marshaling the troops.
In 2006, he departed Mindshift to join cloud services company External IT, where he quickly moved up to the role of Support Manager running a team of ten engineers supporting thousands of end users nationwide.
Ben was born on the south shore of Long Island and unplugs outdoors via camping, boating, and fishing with his son and wife.

David Matalon
CEO, External ITDavid Matalon is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at External IT. He also serves as strategic and operational advisor for Technology Capital Investors. David was one of the entrepreneurial pioneers of the cloud platform, IT outsourcing sector, dating back to 2000. His first venture into the field was as co-founder of Offyx, one of the first application service providers in the United States.
In 2003 he joined External Network and was responsible for three consecutive years of 50%+ growth. In 2005, Matalon acquired Secure Global Networks, and in 2008, he acquired Dallas-based ETCI and Hostnet.
In 2009, Technology Capital Investors was formed with Matalon as advisor and a significant investor. Also in 2009, External IT spun off its intellectual property as OS33, a fully hosted automation platform for Managed Service Providers. In his role with Technology Capital Investors he oversaw the acquisition of several Managed Service Providers. He is a graduate of New York University Stern School of Business and lives in New York City with his wife and three children.

Sam Attias
Managing Partner, TCISam Attias is currently the managing partner at Technology Capital Investors. The company focuses on making investments in cloud computing and IT Services companies. Sam built TCI after a long and accomplished career in finance and banking where he worked at several investment banks. He began his career at Paine Webber. While there he spent 4 years in the Mortgage-Backed Securities structuring group and later on became a member of the bank’s High Yield division.
Sam then joined the fixed income capital markets group at Lehman Brothers, where he spent over eight years in several roles in the Credit division. Most notably, he was part of the Esoteric Credit group that focused on illiquid and private placement debt, which spanned both the credit and structural spectrums. This was the most profitable group within credit at Lehman Brothers for several years.
After developing a specialized background in fixed income and credit, Sam went on to start a business at Lehman that centered on managing capital for wealthy families and individuals. Later on, Sam and his group became a part of Barclays Bank.
